Midstate mother to attend State of the Union

(Harrisburg) — A midstate mother is slated to be in attendance for President Donald Trump’s State of the Union Address tonight.
Anna Corbin, of Hanover, York County, has two sons diagnosed with a rare medical disorder known as Noonan Syndrome.
The genetic condition means Corbin’s nine-and 12-year old boys suffer bleeding disorders, digestion issues, and heart problems.
They were both diagnosed in 2008, but Corbin says it took four years to learn they were eligible for Medicaid.
She says getting Medicaid dramatically improved her family’s quality of life.
“Medicaid is a lifeline for families like mine. It’s devastating–my heart aches because I know where we’ve been,” she said. “My heart aches at the thought of cuts to Medicaid.”
Corbin says she will be paying attention to the president’s plans for social programs as well as protections provided by the Affordable Care Act.
She is attending to the speech as the guest of Pennsylvania Democratic U.S. Senator Bob Casey.
