Midstate remains under wind chill advisory

(State College) — The National Weather Service in State College has issued a wind chill advisory for the midstate, and in fact for most of Pennsylvania.

Wind chills today and tonight are expected to range from 10 to 20 degrees below zero.

The National Weather Service says the extreme cold can cause frostbite to exposed skin in as little as 30-minutes.

If you have to go out, limit your time outdoors, dress in layers and cover exposed skin.

Some relief is on the way.  Forecasters say winds will finally diminish on Sunday and temperatures should climb into the 40’s by the middle of next week.
