(Harrisburg) — Governor Tom Wolf wants the business world to know that manufacturing in Pennsylvania is not a thing of the past.

Manufacturing PA is a new initiative launched by Wolf, which seeks to match job training programs with the jobs that actually exist and are being created in manufacuring.

Wolf says it’s a way to keep Pennsylvania’s economy in the 21st century.

“This manufacturing initiative invests millions of dollars in helping manfacturers figure out how they can connect with a world of people who are their potential workers,.. and make sure that we Pennsylvanians have the skills we need to create the manufacturing we need right here,” Wolf said.

The 12 million dollar initiative will include a partnership between colleges, universities, non-profit organizations and the state Department of Community and Economic Development.
