Memorial service to be held tonight for Vegas victim Bill Wolfe Jr.

(Shippensburg) — In order for the greater Shippensburg community to celebrate the life of Las Vegas shooting victim Bill Wolfe Jr., a memorial service will be held 6:30 p.m. today at Shippensburg University.
Wolfe was attending the Route 91 Harvest Festival with his wife, celebrating their 20th anniversary. The two got separated during the shooting late on Sunday, and the family had no word on Wolfe’s condition until the following night.

The memorial will be held at the H.Ric Luhrs Performing Arts Center, located at the rear of the campus.

Cameras are prohibited within the service.

So far, more than $75,000 has been raised in Wolfe’s name, and 10 million has been raised in a fund for all Vegas victims.
Since Wolfe’s passing, billboards around Franklin County have shown Wolfe’s face and a request for prayer for his family, as well as all the Vegas victims.
Wolfe was a coach with elementary-level Shippensburg Greyhound Wrestling and the Shippensburg Little League.
Wolfe was one of 59 people who were killed during the mass shooting at the Route 91 Harvest Festival, where Jason Aldean was performing. Police determined the shooter was on the 32nd floor of an overlooking hotel, and injured around 500 people during the incident.
When Wolfe’s condition was unknown in the hours after the shooting, Shippensburg community members came together in a prayer vigil.
