Two days after he urged anti-fracking protesters to employ civil disobedience in their fight against fracking, filmmaker Josh Fox donned a tux and accepted an Emmy Award for “outstanding directing.”
“Wait,” you may ask. “Wasn’t Gasland a movie?” It was – in fact it was nominated for an Academy Award. But since the documentary aired on HBO, as well, it’s eligible for the Emmy Awards.
After the win, Fox tweeted a picture of the statue, and wrote, “Thank you everyone for years of dedication and struggle. We’ll take the good days when they come. Now back to work stopping fracking.”
