Meet the Explore PA Crew

Heather Woolridge
Producer
Born and raised in Harrisburg, Heather began her television career at WITF in 1998 as a summer intern. She quickly crawled her way up the corporate ladder by taking on jobs as production crew member, associate producer and producer. Now in her fourth season of producing Explore PA, Heather plays the role of travel agent, den mother, and overall supreme organizer. Between casting, writing, researching and promoting the series she’s managed to do a bit of exploring of her own…

While traveling the state, not only does Heather look forward to these unique experiences, but she’s continually inspired by the people she meets along the way. Explore PA has given Heather a new appreciation for the place she calls home and an endless list of unforgettable memories!

PETER AUFIERO
Videographer

Pete Aufiero is Central PA’s homegrown videographer extraordinaire. He’s also what we like to call an “old-timer.” Pete has been working at WITF for a quarter of a century and recalls fondly the days when a single computer filled an entire room. The fact that his right shoulder is nearly 6 inches lower than his left has not kept Pete from capturing the most provocative images that the XPA crew has ever seen.

When Pete isn’t behind a camera or being literally dragged around a shoot by the infamous producer’s video cable, he can be found in WITF’s parking lot studio, washing and waxing the Sport Van…giving it that extra bit of love and affection every Sport Van deserves!

ANDREW GENA (aka Crash)

What can we say about Andrew Gena? Well, we do know that he is from the vaguely defined area of the country known as "upstate New York".....why can't he be more specific?.....is he hiding something? After this mysterious upbringing, Andrew graduated from Lebanon Valley College with a degree in Music Technology and finally found his way to your favorite Public Broadcasting Station after a short stay in the City of Brotherly Love.

He is purported to be virtually un-flappable (but still pleasant to work with) during all types of TV and FM assignments. He's happiest with a mixer around his neck, twiddling knobs and listening intently.......not an altogether easy task as you try not to bump into the camera operator or become hopelessly tangled in the producer's video cable while creating another segment of Explore PA.
