OUTDOOR ADVENTURE
POCONO MOUNTAINS (PART 1)

Itinerary

ROCK CLIMBING AT DELAWARE WATER GAP
Many adventure races feature rock climbing or bouldering challenges. Rock hounds can practice their skills at The Delaware Water Gap. Covering 40 miles of the Delaware River and almost 70,000 acres, this National Recreation Area has cliffs reaching high into the sky—making for some excellent climbing. Pack Shack Adventures has been offering rock climbing and rappelling at the Water Gap since 1974 and is one of only a few climbing schools on the east coast.

WHITEWATER KAYAKING THE LEHIGH GORGE
Water challenges and paddling are adventure-racing staples. Known for its whitewater and tons of other outdoor activities, Lehigh Gorge State Park is one of the best places to paddle in Pennsylvania. Located right on the river, just south of the park, you’ll find the Northeast PA Kayak School. The instructors here share their passion for kayaking with beginners as well as experienced adventure racers.
