SAINT BENEDICT'S ACADEMY REUNION
The year was 1957. Eisenhower was president. The Hula Hoop was the most popular toy. Elvis was on the radio and in Pittsburgh …Danceland at West View Park was THE place to be! That June, the Saint Benedict’s Academy graduating class said goodbye to their halls of learning and set about building families and careers. Fifty years later and the ladies of St. Benedict’s return to Pittsburgh from all over the country to celebrate unforgettable friendships and memories.

DUQUESNE INCLINE
Looking for THE place to go to get reacquainted with Pittsburgh? Hitch a ride on the Duquesne Incline and take a historic climb up Mount Washington . The view from the top is amazing and has been a Pittsburgh tradition since 1877.

HEINZ HISTORY CENTER
Although St. Benedict’s students didn’t ride the incline back-and-forth to school…many of them did ride the streetcar. Check out reminders of Pittsburgh’s trolley days at the Heinz History Center.

ISALY'S WEST VIEW
Not far from St. Benedict’s is a neighborhood called West View. It was once home to West View Park and Danceland, a popular amusement park and dancehall. Those days are long gone but one reminder of the past still exists in a little soda shop called Isaly’s. This local hang out was the perfect place to let loose after a long day at school. In fact, there’s still nothing better than Isaly’s chipped ham and “Skyscraper" cones.

THREE RIVERS ARTS FEST

If you dig the arts this 17-day annual festival is the place to be! The downtown streets transform into a world of visual arts, musical and dance performances, plus a fine arts and crafts market.

CARNEGIE MUSEUM OF NATURAL HISTORY
The Three Rivers Arts Fest is a Pittsburgh tradition…just like The Carnegie Museum of Natural History in Oakland. The museum’s famous for its dinosaurs. In fact, it has the 3rd largest collection in the world. But beyond the fossils, the museum also takes unique look into Ancient Egypt.

RACOON CREEK STATE PARK
For more wild adventures check out nearby Raccoon Creek State Park. Considered a “must see” for its size and beauty, the park’s wildflower preserve is a botanical wonderland attracting visitors from all over the state.
