This week Explore PA celebrates one of Pennsylvania’s most popular fairs, the York Fair! Meet Todra and Rebekah…two fashion mavens from Harrisburg. Todra’s a make-up artist who recently moved to Pennsylvania to escape the tireless pace of New York City. Rebekah has always called Central PA home but hasn’t ventured much further than her own backyard. Are these best of friends ready to hit the road to explore the York Fair and other local attractions? Find out as they stop by the Harley Davidson Factory, Codorus State Park, the Historic Gates and Plough Complex, Martins Potato Chips and of course…the York Fair!

DAY ONE
Explore the York Fair

Tour the Harley Davidson Factory
• Witness a legend in the making at Harley-Davidson's York Vehicle Operations. The Vaughn L. Beals Tour Center features exhibits that detail the plant's history, assembly and manufacturing processes, and Custom Vehicle Operations.

Hit the river at Shank’s Mare Guided Kayak Tour
• Get a beginner’s crash course in the sport of kayaking then paddle to where the river meets Fishing Creek. Guide can talk about the area’s history and point out an important birding sanctuary along the way.

DAY TWO
Tour Martins Potato Chip Factory
• Todra and Rebekah take factory tour and enjoy kettle cooked potato chips hot off the line!

Visit the Gates & Plough Complex
• Explore the site where General Gates lived while the Continental Congress met in York. Learn about LaFayette's famous toast to Washington that sent a signal to conspirators that the French would not support a plot to replace Washington with Gates. Plus play a few Colonial style games!

Experience the Weightlifting Hall of Fame
• The Weightlifting Hall of Fame is located in the York Barbell Company. It preserves the heritage of Olympic lifting and bodybuilding.

Visit Codorus State Park
• Saddle up and take a relaxing guided ride along the parks 7 miles of bridle trails.
