Travel Instigator Dawn Rettinger writes about food, travel and British TV.
It's a simple answer, really. We all need a break! Breaks are part of each day, beginning with the dawn...day break itself! From there we breakfast, take a coffee break, break for lunch, and at quitting time, hit the door running as we break for home! We take holiday breaks, spring breaks, and vacation breaks! If we're still in school, we get that wonderful 3 month summer break! Ohhhh to be back in school!
A break refreshes us. It gives us a chance to sit back and enjoy life.
When Dawn Breaks will take you places you want to go, to enjoy travel through food, drink and pop culture. We'll explore the cities and countries, small towns and shires of places both real and fictional. We'll focus on places that you can visit for yourself that you've seen in TV and Movies, and read about in your favorite books.
We'll also visit independent eateries, craft breweries, wine trails and must see attractions, and celebrate hand made and local, wherever we may roam!
In creating this blog for witf.org, I look forward to sharing experiences with you. I've been a small business owner and social media advocate since 2009, first as owner and co-founder of The HodgePodgery, and now as Owner and Travel Instigator for Dawn's Escapades Travel. I live in Susquehanna Twp, with my #52breakfasts partner, @MDGuzy and our two cats, Henry and Sadie. I have 4 grown children, and 3 grand children. Mike and I travel several times a year usually a week each to visit family in Florida and Arizona, and often a trip out of the country. Our passion for food and drink lead to a ridiculous amount of food photos via twitter, facebook, foursquare, and pinterest.
