On Monday, May 6, NPR experienced audio outages at 6:01am, 6:09-6:21am and again 6:30am. This effected 89.5FM, 93.3FM, 99.9FM and our online stream. On Thursday, 4/11 from 4:00pm until 4:06pm, All Things Considered failed to be delivered via satellite to WITF from the distributor. This affected WITF 89.5FM, 93.3FM, 99.9FM and our webstream. On Saturday, March 16 at 7:01am, WITF 89.5, 93.3, 99.9 and our web stream experienced 5 minutes of silence during the NPR newscast. NPR has acknowledge that they had a technical difficulty and were unable to send the newscast to stations. They have apologized for the issue. At 2:02pm on Saturday, March 2, WITF 89.5, WYPM 93.3 and our online stream experienced an audio outage lasting about 1 minute within the newscast during The Splendid Table due to technical difficulties. PBS Newshour audio dropout

On Wednesday February 13, at 6:00pm the WITF DTV program PBS Newshour experienced loss of audio from about 6:00pm until 6:07pm. This was due to a network error that affected our equipment, which was subsequently reset to fix the problem. DTV, cable and DBS satellite services were all affected. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Technical Issue: Radio Smart Talk, Tuesday, 1/22

During Radio Smart Talk on Tuesday, Jan. 22, some of the phone call guests' audio was garbled. This was due to a technical difficulty in the studio. Technical Issues Whad'Ya Know

On Sunday, January 13th at 2pm, numerous erroneous audio files were played until about 2:03pm when Radiolab started early, ahead of its 4pm start time. Our on-air signal was switched to BBC News until the problem was resolved. Whad'ya know was also cut off early at 4pm due to the late start of the program. The errors were caused by a technical issue with the show's producers who have acknowledge and apologized for the problem. Technical Issue A Prairie Home Companion

On Sunday, January 6th at 11am, A Prairie Home Companion was briefly preempted by BBC World News from 11:00am until 11:15am at which point A Prairie Home Companion started. This was due to a problem with the files that were sent to us from the producers of the show. Technical issue with PBS Newshour

On Wednesday, November 7, starting at about 6:00 PM there was a problem with the audio on the network feed of PBS Newshour. The problem was resolved and the feed restored at about 6:06 PM.

On Saturday, November 3rd on 89.5, 93.3 and our webstream during This American Life at noon, the show broadcast half of one episode and half of another. This American Life has acknowledged that there was a last minute update to the show which caused a problem for some stations leading to the incongruous segments. Technical Issues due to Chambersburg Power Outage

witf 93.3 fm, Chambersburg is off the air due to a power outage at the Chambersburg transmitter site. Broadcast should resume when power is restored. Given the nature of "Super storm" Sandy, this could be a while. This also affects witf's Digital television translator in Chambersburg.

Our website witf.org experienced downtime from mid-day Monday, October 22 to the morning of Tuesday, October 23. The site's servers are hosted on Amazon Web Services, which experienced a degradation of services across the East Coast during this time.
