Security
This website has security measures in place to protect the loss, misuse and alteration of the information under WITF.org control. When the WITF2.org registration form asks users to enter sensitive information (such as credit card number), that information is encrypted for protection with industry standard encryption software - SSL (secure sockets layer). While on a secure page, such as our user registration form, the lock icon on the bottom of web browsers such as Netscape Navigator and Microsoft Internet Explorer becomes "locked," as opposed to "unlocked" (or open) when the user is just 'surfing'. To learn more about SSL, go to http://www.ssl.com/. Credit card authorization requests are sent using the same encryption technology.

Furthermore, access to users' personally identifiable information is restricted in WITF's offices, with only certain WITF employees granted access to such information as appropriate to perform specific jobs and tasks (e.g., a member service representative).

Reviewing/Correcting/Updating Personal Information:
If a registered user wants to review his or her personally identifiable information or if this information changes (such as change of address), users can review, correct, update or remove their personal data provided to WITF, Inc. in the following ways:

1. The user can self-correct any of his or her personal data or preferences at any time by filling out our membership form online.
