Since the book's release earlier this month, much of the attention has focused on Ridge writing that he had to wonder whether politics motivated several Bush Administration officials to support raising the nation's color-coded terrorism threat warning before the 2004 presidential election, but he also points out the threat level wasn't changed.
Gov. Ridge is critical of the Federal response to Hurricane Katrina in 2005 (after he left the Department of Homeland Security) and talks about how emergencies could be handled better.
