On Tuesday, Gettysburg College will host a discussion about Eisenhower’s address. Among the panelists: President Eisenhower’s granddaughter. Susan Eisenhower has served on NASA’s Advisory Council, and on the National Academy of Sciences’ standing Committee on International Security and Arms Control. She’s a member of a Department of Energy Commission on America’s Nuclear Future, which is tasked with developing a long-term solution for safely managing nuclear waste. And she’s Chair Emeritus of the Eisenhower Institute at Gettysburg College.
We’ll talk with Susan Eisenhower about a number of issues, including her grandfather’s “military industrial complex” speech, and nuclear arms control and energy.
