Radio Smart Talk for Thursday, January 27: Last month, then Governor Ed Rendell made national headlines when he reacted to the news that a Philadelphia Eagles game would be postponed two days due to a blizzard. His comment: "We've become a nation of wusses." It was an emotional outburst from an unabashed football fan. But might it also be food for thought? Are we really, in 21st century America, somehow less tough than previous generations? Or is any diatribe about the mettle of past generations (which usually begins "in my day...") merely wistful remembrance of a time that never existed?
