Even though there have been hundreds of TV commercials, voters often don't know much about the judicial candidates. Not surprisingly, voter turnout for municipal elections is low.
There are some across the state who believe statewide appellate court judges should be appointed rather than elected. Not everyone agrees -- saying voters should have the right to decide who sits on the bench.
