and American cities near the Mexican border has taken the drug violence to a new level. Some 10,000 drug-related murders have occured in Mexico since 2007. Even U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton admitted that American's thirst for drugs is in part responsible for those killings.
Now, there are some who say the drug prohibition hasn't worked and maybe it's time to legalize and control drugs.
Monday's Radio Smart Talk will examine the war on drugs and whether legalization is the way to make the drug trade less dangerous.
