As for navigating congestion, Ward notes those buses will be armed with a "pre-emption switch," which will give them priority at traffic lights along the route. MTP officials expect that more than three-quarters of the cost of the Harrisburg to Lebanon line will need to come from state subsidies, which they hope to secure within a year or two.
They concede prospects of funding for Corridor One -- now known as the Capital Red Rose Corridor -- remain uncertain.
