Officials say reports of child abuse and deaths from child abuse are on the increase in Pennsylvania. Dauphin County Coroner Graham Hetrick says it doesn't have to come to that -- there is help available for parents who are struggling to raise their children. Hetrick joins us on Friday's Radio Smart Talk.
MORE INFORMATION: For parenting support and education services, Hetrick recommends calling the PA Family Support Alliance at 1-800-448-4906. If there's reason to believe that a child is in danger, he urges people to call ChildLine at 1-800-932-0313. Dauphin County Children and Youth can be reached at 717-780-7200.
Also, the Pennsylvania Department of Health released distribution plans for the H1N1 (swine flu) vaccine this week. We'll talk to Michael Huff, PA Deputy Secretary for Health Planning and Assessment.
MORE INFORMATION: Contact the The Pennsylvania Department of Health (1-877-PA-HEALTH).
Finally, it looks like an apparent deal on the state budget could be in jeopardy. We'll get the latest.
