Affordable rental housing -- Radio Smart Talk, Wednesday, May 6

Written by  Scott LaMar, Director of Radio Smart Talk

A report last month indicated that a family must earn $15.17 cents an hour working 40 hours a week, 52 weeks a year in order to afford rent and utilities in the housing market. That's a 40% increase since 2000. Another report this week says a "housing trust fund" would boost the state's economy. Is housing affordable in this economy? Can investments in housing spur a recovery?
