Radio Smart Talk for Tuesday, November 8:
Last week, political analysts Dr. Terry Madonna and Dr. Michael Young co-authoried a column on why Herman Cain had surged to the top of the polls in the Republican presidential field. As always, Madonna and Young provided thoughtful analysis of how a political unknown just a few weeks ago had become the leading contender for the nomination. That was before Cain was accused of sexually harassing several women during his time at the National Restaurant Association. So the question for Madonna and Young on today's Radio Smart Talk is whether Cain is still a viable candidate. A year before voters go to the polls to decide between President Obama and the Republican nominee, how does the race shape up?
Who do you think will win?

I think folks should avoid facile comparisons between the personal exploits of Herman Cain and Bill Clinton. Yes, Bill Clinton has several affairs with women outside of his marriage, conduct that I don't approve of. But, to my knowledge, no one ever filed a complaint against him alleging sexual harassment. Sexual harassment is, in my view, much more serious than extramarital affairs.
