What to look for on Smart Talk Friday, July 31, 2015:

Victims of sexual violence will have more complete and timely information about the status of perpetrators under a new partnership between the Pennsylvania Office of Victim Advocate and State Police.

Under the 2011 Adam Walsh Child Protection and Safety Act, Pennsylvania State Police were assigned the responsibility of notifying the victims of sexually violent predators when the offender changed his or her address or place of employment.

This week's announcement allows the Office of Victim's Advocate to have access to the state's Megan's Law list of offenders.  The office can then notify victims of changes.

Pennsylvania Victim Advocate Jennifer Storm appears on Friday's Smart Talk to discuss why the partnership will make victims safer.

Also, many Pennsylvania cities and towns are developing their waterfronts.  In fact, legislation is being considered at the State Capitol that would provide a tax credit to any business or organization that contributes financially to a nonnprofit waterfront improvement organization.

Keystone Crossroads reporter Emily Previti joins us on Friday's Smart Talk with more new about Pennsylvania waterfronts.

Finally, the firm Farley Gannett, Consulting Engineer was formed on August 1st, 1915 in Harrisburg - one hundred years ago Saturday.  Today it is known as Gannett Fleming and has offices in 65 countries and specializes in international planning, design, and construction management.

We'll learn more about Gannett Fleming on Friday's program from the company's CEO Bill Stout and President Bob Scaer.
