There's a Municipal Election next Tuesday in which Pennsylvania voters will cast ballots for a variety of local races -- from common pleas judges to county row officers, city councils to school boards.

A number of midstate mayoral candidates are also in the homestretch of their campaigns. There are contests in York, Carlisle and Sunbury, just to name a few.

In Harrisburg, the ballot will feature businessman Eric Papenfuse and City Controller Dan Miller. Papenfuse won the Democratic Primary. Miller, a Democrat, finished second in the Primary Election, but received enough write-in votes to win the Republican nomination.

Each will join Smart Talk for separate interviews on Wednesday.

A pair of familiar political rivals is facing off in Lancaster's mayoral contest. Republican Charlie Smithgall served as mayor from 1998 - 2006. He was defeated by Democrat Rick Gray in 2005. Gray is now the incumbent candidate.

Each is running on his eight year record as Lancaster mayor, and each will join Smart Talk for separate interviews on Wednesday.

The polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, November 5th.
