Pennsylvania Attorney General Linda Kelly announces perjury, conspiracy, obstruction of justice and child-endangerment charges against former Penn State University President Graham Spanier for his role in the Jerry Sandusky child sex abuse scandal. Kelly also announces additional charges of conspiracy and child endangerment against retired Penn State finance chief Gary Schultz and on-leave Athletic Director Tim Curley. She wants all three men tried together.
Spanier was president of PSU for 16 years until he resigned under fire on November 9, 2011 in the wake of the charges against Sandusky. Sandusky was convicted in June 2012 of 45 charges of child sex abuse. Spanier, Schultz and Curley have denied any wrongdoing in connection with the case. Spanier's arraignment is scheduled for tomorrow afternoon in Dauphin County.
Tell us what you think of the charges tonight at 8 on Smart Talk with Dauphin County Assistant District Attorney Fran Chardo and York criminal defense attorney Chris Ferro. Call in live at 8 to 1-800-729-7532, email smarttalk@witf.org, post a comment here, or to Facebook or Twitter.

Sandusky underscores the need to get accused pedophiles like Sylvain Kustyan off our streets ASAP. Kustyan has been formally charged with two counts of 1st Degree Sodomy of a ten-year-old little boy. This 6'-7" French native and middle school teacher is currently on the lam. Their enablers are as guilty as the perpetrators themselves and should be punished accordingly.

These charges could have been made without the need for a press conference show and the statements by the atty. general. She was over the top with her comments which were editorial and unproven at this point.
