(Reading) -- Latino residents in the midstate can learn how to start their own companies at a bilingual program that starts this week. Kutztown University Latino Business Resource Center and PNC Bank will offer an eight-week seminar program in Harrisburg for Hispanic business owners and entrepreneurs. Lenin Agudo, with the school's Latino Business Resource Center, says the classes will provide legal advice and other information. "We have a whole range of speakers that will be able to speak to our class about topics that relate to banking, such as how to have a loan, different bank products, credit scores, the importance of keeping it, how to maintain it, and how to grow it, for example." Agudo says Latinos make up the fastest-growing population of business owners in the state. He says the program is a way to encourage people to start their own company since many jobs are being cut due to the economic downturn. The free program will take place every Wednesday evening for the next two months at the PNC Bank and YWCA of Greater Harrisburg buildings on Derry Street in Harrisburg.
