(Pottsville) -- A central Pennsylvania teacher has been indicted by a federal grand jury for receiving and distributing child pornography. Twenty-seven-year-old Todd Evans, a seventh and eighth grade teacher at St. Clair Elementary and Middle School in St. Clair, Schuylkill County, faces up to 20 years in prison if convicted of the charges. He also faces a $250,000 fine and a lifetime of supervised release. The U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement's Homeland Security Investigations division, or ICE HSI, is conducting the investigation. Officials with the ongoing investigation say they hope to identify victims and inform parents and the appropriate schools, if possible. The charges brought against Evans stemmed from an investigation by the Schuylkill County District Attorney's Office, Pennsylvania State Police, and ICE HSI.
