Restoration companies pressed to help clients after flood

Written by  Craig Layne, Morning Edition Host/Reporter

(Harrisburg) -- Record flooding in the midstate left many homes and businesses damaged or full of mud as the flood waters receded. In the aftermath, restoration companies have stepped up their efforts to get properties back to normal. RestoreCore Chief Operating Officer Brian Mohan says his company has people working around the clock, but they simply cannot be everywhere at once. "The expectation of every homeowner is they want to be serviced immediately. When you have a catastrophic event like this, you have thousands upon thousands of pepole who are in exactly the same shoes, and everyone needs service." Mohan says the company has received more than 500 calls from residential and commercial customers since Friday, when flood waters began to creep into buildings throughout the region. He says response teams are working quickly, but every situation is unique and calls for special attention. RestoreCore has five offices in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
