(Undated) -- Governor Corbett has declared a state of emergency in anticipation of the arrival of Hurricane Irene. The Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency says its coordinating with the National Weather Service and other agencies to make sure everything is in place in case of high winds and heavy rain. PEMA spokeswoman Ruth Miller says people in the storm's path should prepare, too. "We recommend enough supplies to survive for three days in your home without outside assistance," Miller says. PPL spokesman Kurt Blumenau says the utility is bringing in about 80 workers from Kentucky to help with storm cleanup, if necessary. "We're not looking forward to the storm, but we are looking forward to the chance to welcome and work with our experienced colleagues coming up from Kentucky," Blumenau says. The storm has organizations starting to re-arrange their schedules.
