(Harrisburg) -- The fountain at the state Capitol in Harrisburg is now pink in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. First Lady Susan Corbett says it's a visual reminder of the importance of mammograms and early detection."When you see the pink fountain outside, I hope you will all remember that we can beat this disease, if we take the time to have that early screening," she says. Pennsylvania Breast Cancer Coalition Executive Director Heather Hibshman says 32 women are diagnosed with breast cancer every day across the state. "It blows me away everytime I hear it or everytime I say it," she says. "Everybody seems to know somebody with breast cancer and with numbers like that, I believe it. We need to get that number down to zero." Hibshman says if breast cancer is discovered at its earliest stage, the five-year survival rate is 98 percent. That figure falls to 23 percent, if it's not detected early. For more information visit "Facing Cancer Together."
