(Undated) -- People with good ideas for a new business often can't get going unless they can get money to launch their startup. It's tough enough for entrepreneurs to qualify for loans in the US these days. In the developing world, it can be impossible. That's where microfinance comes in. Rhona Murungi grew up in Uganda, where microfinance made a difference in her life. She's coming to the midstate this week to speak about her experiences and she spoke with witf Morning Edition Host Craig Layne as part of our MoneyWorks series.
You can hear more of Rhona Murungi's story when she speaks at a breakfast on Friday at 8 a.m. at Calvary Church in Lancaster. The event is sponsored by HOPE International, a charity that helps promote microfinance in the developing world.
