Radio Smart Talk for Thursday, September 2: Upon assuming his new job as President of the Milton Hershey School, Dr. Anthony Colistra has stressed fiscal sanity at what has been a historically extremely well funded school. For years, questions have swirled around the school’s execution of Milton S. Hershey’s original wish – that it be a school to serve underprivileged kids. Some see it as more of a country club. Can there be such a thing as too much funding? What should be the mandate for the school, and how should it be operated? We’ll consider these and other questions as part of WITF’s Real Life | Real Issues project for September.
