The hundreds of residents at the Humane Society of Harrisburg Area (HSHA) are currently without potable drinking water, due to flooding. HSHA is asking for emergency potable water donations (i.e. spring water, bottled water, potable tap water) from the public.
According to United Water, HSHA's provider, emergency options for providing potable drinking water for residents are being explored.
HSHA is also in need of donations of medium and large new or gently used dog crates to house the influx of owned and stray animals that have come into the shelter as a result of the flooding emergency.
Water donations can be brought directly to HSHA's shelter at 7790 Grayson Road in Harrisburg, which is accessible via Route 322.
