Flood victims can apply for assistance at new Lebanon County facility

Written by  witf.org

(Lebanon) -- The federal and state governments have partnered together to help midstate flood victims who were affected by Tropical Storm Lee. The U.S. Federal Emergency Management Agency and the Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency are expected to open a disaster recovery center in Lebanon County today. The center, which is designed to help residents and business owners with cleanup, will be housed at the Lebanon Valley Mall at 22nd and Cumberland Streets in Lebanon, and will open at 1pm today. FEMA officials urge anyone interested in visiting the center to register with the agency beforehand so recovery responders can be prepared to answer questions. The center will also maintain weekday hours starting tomorrow at 10am. Interested residents and business owners can register by calling 1-800-621-FEMA (3362) or by signing up online.
