(Camp Hill) -- Midstate farmers with successful harvests are helping those who lost crops due to severe flooding in recent months. The Pennsylvania Farm Bureau is launching two programs to help struggling farmers across the state. Spokesman Mark O'Neill says one lets farmers donate part of their harvest to their colleagues who are in the most financial need. "If a farmer or several farmers out there have had a really good season and they might be able to help a farmer who truly is in need, who was devastated by floods, they have an opportunity to contribute," O'Neill says. He says the other will allow farmers to list their needs and match up with those who have commodities to sell. The spokesman says the assistance aims to fill gaps in disaster recovery efforts.
