Facing Cancer Together: Avastin and breast cancer

(Hershey) -- The Food and Drug Administration has rescinded its approval for the breast cancer-fighting drug Avastin, saying it did not necessarily help patients live longer while sometimes giving them severe side effects. As part of witf's Facing Cancer Together multimedia project, witf's Craig Layne talked about Avastin with Dr. Leah Cream, an assistant professor of medicine at Penn State Hershey Cancer Institute.
