Bugle calls to become a daily fixture at Fort Indiantown Gap

Written by  Megan Lello, witf Reporter and Producer

(Annville) -- Daily bugle calls will begin to play at one midstate military base beginning tomorrow. The first call is scheduled to play at 6:25am at Fort Indiantown Gap in Annville, Lebanon County, while the last will be heard at 11pm. The seven weekday calls will wake up soldiers, call them for lunch, and signal the day's end of official duty. Weekend calls will signal the beginning of religious services, among other events. Usually, vehicles must stop during bugle calls on active military bases, but they won't be required to do so at Fort Indiantown Gap because of the base's busy public roadways. Residents who live near the base may be able to hear the bugle calls.
