(Washington) -- The Thanksgiving weekend is one of the biggest travel periods across the country. So, Amtrak is bracing for an influx of passengers. Spokeswoman Danelle Hunter says more trains will be added and extra staff will be on duty this weekend. "We absolutely want to advise folks to always have a photo ID on you. Arrive at your station early," she says. "We encourage folks to arrive about 45 minutes before their train is to depart." Hunter says travelers will need reservations for almost all the trains on the national network this week. She says passengers can bring two carry-on bags per person, not including laptops, purses or brief cases. The rail service set its best ever annual ridership record this past fiscal year.
