American Red Cross closes several midstate shelters

(Harrisburg) -- The American Red Cross has closed the following shelters since need for the facilities has passed:

 

-Rowland School in Harrisburg

-Eastern Middle School in Wrightsville, York County

-Manchester Township Municipal Building in Manchester Township, York County

The following shelters remain open:

 

-Eisenhower Elementary School in Camp Hill, Cumberland County

 

-John Harris High School in Harrisburg

-Donegal Middle School in Marietta, Lancaster County

-Pennsylvania National Guard Armory in Lebanon

-Priestley Elementary School in Northumberland

-First Baptist Church in Milton, Northumberland County

-Oaklyn Elementary School in Sunbury, Northumberland County

-Donald H. Eichorn Middle School in Lewisburg, Union County

Shelters will provide food, a safe place to sleep and support for local residents who have been experienced flooding or storm damage at their homes. Those coming to a shelter should bring identification, pillows, blankets and their personal medications and medical supplies with them. It is also recommended that people bring extra clothing, personal hygiene items, any infant/child items and important documents.
