(Harrisburg) -- Advocate groups are calling on the public to focus on the alleged victims involved in the Jerry Sandusky child sex scandal, and not on the ways Penn State may be affected by the scandal. David from Hummelstown, Dauphin County, tells witf's Radio Smart Talk as a Penn State grad and victim of child abuse himself, he thinks there needs to be better ways to report inappropriate behavior. "It took years for me to find the right person to report to, and in the twenty-first century, I'm surprised that there's not an institutional policy for reporting," he says. "If anything good can come from this, they need to clean up their act." The executive director of the Victim/Witness Assistance Program in Harrisburg also says there could be other victims involved in the case that haven't yet come forward. Jennifer Storm says under the state's Child Protective Services law, anyone who works with children must report any cases of suspected abuse.
