Legal Immigration

Written by  Radio Smart Talk

Radio Smart Talk for Tuesday, November 2: Throughout November, WITF's Real Life | Real Issues series will turn its attention to issues associated with immigration. Of course, so much of what we hear in political discourse today is fixated on illegal immigrants, particularly the influx of people coming to the United States from Mexico for work. But how much do you know about immigration law itself? We'll discuss legal immigration concepts and procedures, from green card status to residency and citizenship, and just how immigration and naturalization work under the law -- as well as spend a few minutes chatting with the national director of US Citizenship and Immigration Services: Alejandro Mayorkas.

Guests:
Alejandro Mayorkas, Director, US Citizenship and Immigration Services
Jill Family, Associate Professor of Law, Widener University
Brooke Del Greco, Managing Attorney, Pennsylvania Immigration Resource Center
Tim Lambert, WITF's Real Life | Real Issues
