Radio Smart Talk for Monday, December 13: A soft snow falls outside while a cozy fire glows in the fireplace indoors. A stack of gifts waiting to be unwrapped under the tree. A family sits down for a sumptious holiday meal. Perhaps no other time of year conjures up the images of what our lives should be than the holiday season. Many of us go out of our ways to ensure the holidays are full of joy, happiness, traditions and memories. But for others who are ill, away from home, lost their jobs, or are grieving the loss of a loved one, the holidays can be a sad time. As part of WITF's Real Life | Real Issues project this month, we'll look at hard times at the holidays.
