Santana’s world music, blues, rock ‘n’ roll and jazz fusion has reached across the globe and stayed with audiences through the eras. The legendary Carlos Santana brings together this unique blend of styles and sounds to deliver a blistering performance at the Montreux Jazz Festival fresh for 2011. SANTANA GREATEST HITS – LIVE AT MONTREUX 2011 is part of special programming premiering on witf in December.

This live show is a perfect display of the multi-Grammy Award- winning artist as not only an accomplished composer and band leader, but also as the incredible musician who ranks among the greatest guitarists of all time.

With a truly remarkable career that proves talent and longevity walk hand-in-hand, Carlos takes to the prestigious Montreux stage to play his impressive hit list that includes early tracks “Evil Ways” and “Jingo” from 1969, to later chart-toppers “Smooth” and “Maria Maria.” Other standout classics include favorites “Black Magic Woman” and “Oye Como Va.”

witf will air SANTANA GREATEST HITS – LIVE AT MONTREUX 2011 as part of our TV pledge drive on December 3 at 7 p.m. and December 4 at 1:30 a.m.
