Saturday, February 26 at 11pm and again Sunday, February 27 at 7am WITF will boradcast an extraordinary Living Room Concert with Icelandic composer and pianist Ólafur Arnalds, recorded here at WITF in Harrisburg.

Only 25 years old, Ólafur Arnalds came to renown three years ago when he toured as the opening act for fellow Icelanders and giants of the alternative music scene Sigur Ros.  He sculpts an ambient chamber music landscape full of pensive moods and melodies that insinuate themselves in slow motion elegance.  For this performance, he brings a string quartet and electronics to play the poetic music of his album, "And They Have Escaped the Weight of Darkness."
