Grab your friends and family, set out some cookies and other holiday goodies, and then get warm and cozy, because we have a great lineup of holiday programming planned for TV and radio. Get details on what you can expect below:

December 21:

TV:

  • 8 p.m. - Nature: Christmas in Yellowstone

  • 2 p.m. - Chanukah in Story and Song

 

December 22:

  • 8 p.m. - Christmas at Belmont

  • 8 p.m. - Chanukah in Story and Song (repeat)

  • 7 a.m. - Curious George - A Very Monkey Christmas
  • 10 a.m. - Shalom Sesame - Chanukah: The Missing Menorah
  • 10 p.m. - Bucknell Candlelight Christmas

  • 12 p.m. - Music of the Baroque - Two hour brass and choral holiday concert

 

December 24:

  • 3:30 p.m. - European Christmas Markets
  • 4 p.m. - L.A. Holiday Celebration 2010: Enjoy highlights of the six-hour Los Angeles County Holiday Celebration that took place in the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion of the Music Center on Christmas Eve 2009.
  • 5 p.m. - National Christmas Tree Lighting 2011; Celebrating its 89th year, the lighting of the National Christmas Tree signals the start of the holiday season across the country.
  • 6 p.m. - Christmas at St. Olaf: Rejoice, Give Thanks, and Sing: Celebrate the 100th anniversary of this annual Christmas music festival showcasing the artistry of the choirs and orchestra of St. Olaf College.
  • 7 p.m. - Lawrence Welk Show: We go back to 1966 to celebrate Christmas with Lawrence, his Musical Family, and their families. Lawrence makes his annual singing entrance on "Jingle Bells". You're guaranteed to fall in love with Barbara & Bobby as Raggedy Ann & Andy for the "Doll Dance". The Lennon Sisters sing the beautiful "Star Carol" while JoAnn Castle rocks the house with "Frosty The Snowman". Aladdin gives the show a perfect touch with the holiday classic "Yes Virginia, There Is A Santa Claus". You'll want to watch this show with your whole family.
  • 8 p.m. - Christmas with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir Featuring David Archuleta: Award-winning pop sensation David Archuleta and actor Michael York join the renowned Mormon Tabernacle Choir in an energetic Christmas celebration of magnificent proportion.
  • 9 p.m. - Christmas at Belmont: Enjoy this annual holiday concert that showcases the students from Belmont University’s comprehensive music program.
  • 10 p.m. - Nature: Revel in a Christmas like no other — from the unique crystals of individual snowflakes to the grand sweep of Yellowstone’s Hayden Valley. "Christmas in Yellowstone"
  • 11 p.m. - Christmas at St. Olaf: Rejoice, Give Thanks, and Sing: Celebrate the 100th anniversary of this annual Christmas music festival showcasing the artistry of the choirs and orchestra of St. Olaf College.

  • 10 a.m. - Super Why!: "'Twas the Night Before Christmas"
  • 10:30 a.m. - Sid the Science Kid: "Sid's Holiday Adventure"
  • 11:30 a.m. - Prima Princessa Presents The Nutcracker: The cartoon fairy ballerina Prima Princessa takes a group of pre-school children on a magical Christmas journey to see a live performance of 'The Nutcracker' performed by England's world famous Birmingham Royal Ballet. Prima Princessa delightfully narrates the story so children can understand the plot. Between acts the kids get up and dance, learning simple ballet steps from students at SAB, official academy of the New York City Ballet. Additional fun including a Holiday party with cookie and gingerbread house decorating, Christmas crafting, and Holiday Freeze Dancing!
  • 12:30 p.m. - Nonna Tell Me A Story: Lidia's Christmas Kitchen
  • 1 p.m. - Lidia Celebrates America: Celebrate culture through food with celebrity chef, author and restaurateur Lidia Bastianich. "Holiday Tables & Traditions"
  • 2 p.m. - Christmas at Belmont: Enjoy this annual holiday concert that showcases the students from Belmont University’s comprehensive music program.
  • 3 p.m. - Candles and Carols: "Candles and Carols"
  • 4 p.m. - St. Thomas Christmas 2010: This Christmas season, the University of St. Thomas in Saint Paul, Minn. — an institution known for its inspired musical programming — once again shares its annual holiday concert with public television audiences.
  • 5 p.m. - TRANS-SIBERIAN ORCHESTRA: GHOSTS OF CHRISTMAS EVE: The late Ossie Davis narrates a fantasy trip through the magic of Christmas, with musical performances by Jewel, Michael Crawford and the Trans-Siberian Orchestra.
