Gillian's mounting guilt over Eddie's death drives her to make a life-changing decision. On the night of Celia's play, a twist of fate means Alan is forced to confront his fears.

Monday December 25 at 9:00pm - Call the Midwife Holiday Special - Join the midwives as they battle snow, ice, power cuts and frozen pipes to provide patient care during the coldest winter in 300 years. Valerie helps a young couple who experience a traumatic birth and Sister Julienne tries to reunite a family.

Tuesday December 26 at 8:00pm - The Sultan and the Saint - Explore how St. Francis of Assisi and the Sultan of Egypt risked it all to end the Crusades. A simple Christian friar and a mighty Muslim leader met on a bloody battlefield 800 years ago. What happened next changed world history.

Wednesday December 27 at 9:00pm - Supernature - Wild Flyers - The sky is a crowded world where mammals, birds and insects hunt, escape, mate, defend territory, sleep and even die on the wing. Survival up there depends not just on beating gravity or mastering flight, but also out-flying the competition.

Thursday December 28 at 8:00pm - Dickensian - Dickensian is a bold reinvention of Charles Dickens' timeless novels, where his most iconic characters live side by side in the same Victorian neighbourhood. Free from the straightjacket of adaptation, Dickensian takes familiar characters on new journeys. You don't need to know Dickens' novels to fall in love with these stories - packed with romance, scandal and intrigue they deliver a rollercoaster ride of twists and turns to surprise and delight viewers to the final episode.

Friday December 29 at 9:00pm - American Masters -  Explore entertainer Bob Hope's life with unprecedented access to his personal archives including writings voiced by Billy Crystal, clips from his body of work, and interviews with Woody Allen, Margaret Cho, Conan O'Brien, Tom Selleck and Brooke Shields.

Saturday December 30 at 10:00pm - Live from the Artists Den - Fleet Foxes celebrate the release of their new album, Crack-Up, with a special performance at the Knockdown Center in Queens, New York. The mesmerizing concert highlights material from their new record-the influential band's first release in six years-while also looking back to such favorites as "Helplessness Blues" and "Mykonos." The century-old Knockdown Center, a magnificent former glass blowing facility and door factory, provides a perfect setting for the group's atmospheric harmonies and expansive arrangements.
