Written by Fred Vigeant, Director of Programming and Promotions for TV and Radio | Jul 14, 2015 8:31 AM

NPR's flagship evening news program is getting an update with some additional hosts.  The program is currently hosted by Melissa Block, Audie Cornish, and Robert Siegel with Arun Rath hosting weekends.  All Things Considered has been a mainstay on public radio stations across the country including WITF.  The show debuted nationally in 1971.

Beginning in September Ari Shapiro and Kelly McEvers will join the weekday line-up with Michel Martin on the weekends.  Ari Shapiro was recently an international correrspondent for NPR based in London, Kelly McEvers was a national correspondent based at NPR West, and Michel Martin was the previous host of Tell Me More which ended production last year.  Robert Siegel and Audie Cornish will continue to host All Things Considered.

Melissa Block, who has been hosting All Things Considered for the past twelve years, will step away from the hosting chair to a special correspondent role.
