Written by Fred Vigeant, Director of Programming and Promotions for TV and Radio | Apr 1, 2015 6:43 AM

This three-part series, hosted by former U.S dance champions Mary Murphy and Tony Meredith, features all four major styles of competitive ballroom dancing: American Smooth, American Rhythm, International Standard and International Latin.

In addition to 25 world-class couples competing to be named "America's Best," the series includes backstage footage of the couples preparing for competition; exhibitions featuring other top couples in each style of dance, from children to Pro-Am champions; and behind-the-scenes looks at different aspects of the world of ballroom dancing, from music to hairstyles.

The three part series begins April 24 at 9:00pm on WITF (and continues the following two Fridays)

Episode 1: The finalists in the American Smooth and American Rhythm divisions compete first as a group, performing steps like the waltz, tango, cha cha and mambo, then perform one show-stopping solo each.

Episode 2: Enjoy the flowing ball gowns and graceful waltzes of the International Standard style, followed by the suggestive costumes and sizzling steps of the International Latin division.

Episode 3: The winning couples in the four divisions of ballroom compete across dance styles in the Grand Finale.
