Sunday August 3 at 9:00pm - Masterpiece Mystery! - A wealthy financier and his wife stage a grand party at their new summer home. Poirot (David Suchet) is a reluctant guest, urged to attend by his old friend Ariadne Oliver (Zoë Wanamaker), who suspects the “murder hunt” game she is preparing may turn out to be a real murder.

Monday August 4 10:00pm - POV - Does sentencing a teenager to life without parole serve our society well? The United States is the only country in the world that routinely condemns children to die in prison. This is the story of one of those children, now a young man, seeking a second chance in Florida. At age 15, Kenneth Young received four consecutive life sentences for a series of armed robberies. Imprisoned for more than a decade, he believed he would die behind bars. Now a U.S. Supreme Court decision could set him free. “15 to Life: Kenneth’s Story” follows Young’s struggle for redemption, revealing a justice system with thousands of young people serving sentences intended for society’s most dangerous criminals.

Tuesday August 5 at 8:00pm - Mark Twain (Part 2) - Ken Burns explores the other side of the writer — an American icon who, through tragedy and bad financial decisions, falls hard with failure. In contrast to the wildly successful Twain, Clemens is an inept businessman who squanders his fortunes on pipe dream patents and bad investments. Clemens turns to the lecture circuit and tours extensively, leaving behind his beloved Hartford home and, often, his family, to pay off his creditors.

Wednesday August 6 at 10:00pm - Sex in the Wild - Joy and Mark investigate the reproductive secrets of marine mammals to learn how animals that breathe air manage to mate, give birth and raise their young underwater. Joy travels to New Zealand to uncover the mating strategy of dusky dolphins. While she reveals the adaptations marine mammals have evolved to mate in the ocean, Mark travels to Mexico to find out how whales find mates in the ocean vastness. Witness a dolphin birth, explore the difficulties of breastfeeding underwater and learn how dolphin and whale young avoid predatory killer whales.

Thursday August 7 at 9:00pm - Masterpiece Mystery! - A case of stolen letters leads Sherlock Holmes into a long conflict with Charles Augustus Magnussen, the Napoleon of blackmail and the one man he truly hates. But how do you tackle a foe who knows the personal weakness of every person of importance in the Western world?

Friday August 8 at 10:00pm - Straight No Chaser - This performance, filmed live at Harrah’s Resort in Atlantic City, New Jersey, is a journey through the decades of the pop songbook, including Elvis Presley’s “Heartbreak Hotel,” the Four Seasons’ “Big Girls Don’t Cry,” Stevie Wonder’s “Superstition,” Simon and Garfunkel’s “Bridge Over Troubled Water,” Madonna’s “Like a Prayer” and Boyz II Men’s “End of the Road,” all done with SNC’s trademark harmonies and unique charm.
