William Scranton: In a Clear Light

This biographical documentary tells the story of William Scranton, who lived a life of public service that made him a witness to history in the 20th century. During a career that spanned almost four decades he served Pennsylvania as an innovative Congressman and Governor. His guiding star has always been his family and his home outside of Scranton, PA. This documentary was produced by WVIA in Scranton.

The former Pennsylvania governor and U.S. ambassador to the United Nations died at the age of 96 on July 29, 2013. A memorial service is scheduled for August 14 at 10:30 a.m. in the northeastern Pennsylvania city named after his family.

In honor of the former governor, witf TV will be airing the documentary "William Scranton: In a Clear Light" on August 14 at 1 p.m. and August 24 at 4 p.m.
