witf TV Experiencing Broadcast Signal Impairment

To our witf TV viewers:
We are currently experiencing intermittent issues with our satellite feeds from PBS. The PBS satellite began having problems delivering a clear signal to witf on Wednesday, November 2 about 10am. The engineers and master control folks at both PBS and witf immediately began working to keep witf on the air.
Unfortunately, Wednesday evening, both the Nature and Nova episodes were affected by these difficulties. We apologize for the disruption this has caused to your television viewing and hope to have the problem resolved ASAP. Our technology staff continues to work with PBS to resolve these issues. Both programs can be watched in their entirety online:
Nature: "The Animal House- Go above and underground to see “the home life of wildlife.”

If you have a DVR, Nova will also be rebroadcast, Saturday, November 5 @ 5:00am
In rare cases, witf may be required to show recently recorded or older episodes of planned programming until the PBS satellite signal is fully restored.
Many programs air more than one time. The witf online TV schedule http://www.witf.org/tv offers more information on rebroadcast times (see the image above). Simply find the program you are interested in, click on the title, then click on WHEN TO WATCH to see additional broadcast times when applicable.

Hi Ken,
We are no longer having signal problems. However, if you have Direct TV, they are aware of an issue on their end, and they have been working to correct it. We are very sorry that you can not get a signal at this time and hope that you can tune in soon. In the meantime, some of our programs are available for online streaming: http://video.witf.org/.

We're not getting a signal most days either, which is very inconvenient, since we can't afford either Direct TV or cable, and WITF is the only over the air station we can pick up in our area.

This news item seems to be in the past. But I am having problems with your signal 2/4/2012 and today 2/5. Pixel problems and loss of signal. Is it still your problem or my cable service.

2/6/2012. We have DirectTV and are experiencing signal problems with WITF only. Pixal and loss of signal. Very anoying when trying to watch a program.
